Google Play first: the store verifies the package and updates happen automatically. If Play isn't available in your region, install from APKPure or download the signed APK straight from our site. Installing an APK requires enabling "install unknown apps" for your browser or file manager — that step isn't risky in itself; the risk is where the APK came from. Only download from the official site or a well-known distributor, never from an unfamiliar mirror in search results.

Verify the APK source
Only the official site or a known platform like APKPure. Third-party mirrors are frequently repackaged with adware or worse.
The "unknown apps" permission
You can switch it back off once installed. It governs installation only and doesn't affect apps already on the device.
Check app permissions
A VPN needs network access and the VPN service permission. Requests for contacts, SMS or location deserve suspicion.
Allow the connection request
Android shows a system dialog on first connect. That's the standard security prompt — the tunnel only opens once you confirm.
Battery optimisation kills tunnels
Set the app to Unrestricted under Settings → Apps → Battery so the system doesn't terminate it in the background.
Always-on VPN
Settings → Network & internet → VPN lets you enable Always-on, so the device only has connectivity while the VPN is up.
